What we check
City business licence: where a city publishes its licences, we match the licence number and expiry and label it Verified at source. Today that is Hamilton (kennels), Calgary (Kennel Service/Pet Dealer) and Vancouver (all businesses); Toronto adds a Pet Establishment licence for boarding, daycare, training and grooming from February 1, 2027. In Quebec we show ANIMA‑Québec certification. Most listings start as free listings compiled from public business information, marked Self‑reported until the business claims them.
